William Lee Rand: is publisher of the Reiki News Magazine. William received Reiki I in 1981, Reiki II in 1982, and became a Reiki Master in 1989. He received the Reiki master level of training from five Reiki masters. He has made three trips to Japan to research Reiki and also received Reiki I&II training from Mrs. Yamaguchi who received her master or shinpiden directly from Dr. Hayashi. He also received his Gendai master training from Hiroshi Doi and his Komyo Reiki mastership from Hyakuten Inamoto

Usui Sensei was born in the village of Taniai, and up until recently, there was no monument at this location to honor him as the creator of Usui Reiki Ryoho. This article explains the history of this new monument and describes the unveiling ceremony.  https://www.reikiwebstore.com/
